Who We Are

Much of our world is experiencing a narrowing of perspective. Maybe you sense this, too.

Technologies and systems that have created opportunities in some ways have diminished our capacity in others.

Curiosity and kindness have given way to fear.

We’ve retreated from complexity toward simplified answers that fit our assumptions.

Rather than fostering life through creation and conservation, we consume to the point of exhaustion.

To find a better way, to move toward possibility, we need to reawaken our imaginations — Generous Imaginations that connect heart and mind and hands and feet.

And that’s why we started Gradient Goods.

Mission and Vision

At Gradient Goods we envision cultures that are fortified by truthful narratives, unafraid of complexity or diversity, and shaped and sustained through ethical and empathetic engagement—a vision of individual and communal flourishing that can only arise from generous imaginations.

Toward this vision, our mission is to propagate life-giving practices by designing and purveying beautiful and accessible resources, tools and art.

Our Name

In an image gradient, dark becomes light, one tint of colour becomes another, in nearly imperceptible increments. So too can imaginations be transformed—when bleak visions become vibrant and hopeful through the incremental effects of good practices.
